Monthly awards based on stories submitted by the 30th of the month. The top story will win $500 for that month. Award recipients will be notified, paid, and posted by the 15th of the following month. We reserve the right to award to more than one recipient if we can't decide...

To submit your story online, please use our submission form. Use of this form constitutes agreement to the Gigglegig Submission Terms (see below). For other means of submission, see Story Specifications below.

Story guidelines

• A Gigglegig story is a funny story about a real life event that is true
• It has a beginning, middle, and end (punch)
• It introduces the characters and scenes while engaging as many of the senses as possible. The reader needs to be actually 'in' the story for them to ultimately get the humor.
• The story can have a range of emotions woven throughout, but in the end must create laughter.
• The person must actually 'feel' better after the body releases endorphins and eliminates toxins associated with laughter.
• Above all, have fun with it. Relive the laughter yourself in the writing of your story.

Story Specifications

• You can submit your story in one of two ways: through our website Gigglegig.com under the "Submit Your Story" heading, or by fax. The story preferably needs to be typed on plain white 8 1/2 x 11 paper, in 14-point Times New Roman font.
• If submitting by fax, the author's name and contact information must be placed on the first page of each story. Please only submit one copy. The fax number is 775.376.9410.
• Stories must be non-fiction, ranging from 300-1,500 words if possible.
• You can either use your name or "Anonymous" at the end of your story, but you must also show your city and state, your email address, and your telephone number.
• If you submit through the website, you will be sent an acknowledgment. If you submit by fax, you won't.

By submitting information to Gigglegig.com, you grant Gigglegig.com a perpetual, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute and otherwise exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to that information, in its sole discretion, including, without limitation, storing all such information on Gigglegig.com servers and incorporating the same into other works in and/or through any media now known or hereafter developed, also including, without limitation, the publishing of books.

You further agree that all information you submit, which may include, without limitation, stories, data, video, picture, sound, etc. shall not be and/or contain any material which could, in any way, be considered, interpreted, and/or viewed as pornographic, illegal, disrespectful, or in bad taste.

If you do not agree to grant Gigglegig.com these rights, and subject to the foregoing restrictions, please do not submit any information to this website. Gigglegig.com reserves the right to select, edit, arrange submissions, and remove information from the Gigglegig.com website, at any time, and in its sole discretion.
